Programs

We offer six main programs all giving the same Biblical messages tuned for each audience:

English / Youth / Chinese / Chinese-Student
Children’s & Nursery / Next Step Ministry

English Program

The English Program welcomes English-speaking college students and adults to participate in this unique, interactive program designed for those from the Chinese cultural context. We will have plenary sessions with small group discussions in the morning and evenings, workshops coupled with a Mission Expo in the afternoons, fellowship time over meals, and late evening activities.

James H Taylor IV will kick off CMC with our joint opening message. JR Vassar will be the English Bible expositor bringing us the Word from 2 Corinthians 4 over the course of three sessions. Other plenary sessions will feature Becky Pippert, Kenneth Bae, Wayne Chen and David Platt. David Platt will also give our joint closing message.

Workshops are organized into Specialized Mobilization Tracks that allow you to go deep and explore relevant mission themes and ideas. You can decide to follow a Track or sample from among them. Tracks offered for the English Program are:

  • Good News – Evangelism focus; reach your neighbor
  • Intergen – Intergenerational & Family issues
  • Unreached – Unengaged and Unreached People Groups
  • Next Steps – Think God is calling you? What is the Next Step?

We will post a full list of workshop topics over the summer.

Youth Program

Our purpose is to ELEVATE God in all his truth and glory, give students opportunities to EXPLORE global missions and provide an EXPERIENCE of what deep Christian community looks like. We believe God has gifted you with a unique purpose and calling, and CMC-Youth wants to help you discover what that looks like. Each student will be placed in a small group with a leader to care for them throughout the week and peers to grow and have fun with. We hope as many youth as possible will stay onsite (aka get a hotel room!) so encourage your families to book now. See you at CMC-Youth!

Children’s Programs & Nursery*

Unleash our next generation. Sharpen their hearts and train them to be Christ-centered, mission-minded kids. Seven sessions (one afternoon, mornings and evenings) with a variety of dynamic, interactive and fun activities will be provided in a rotational format: Elementary Program (K-5th), Preschool Program (3-4yrs) and Nursery Program (0-2yrs). In the early afternoons, we welcome children Kindergarten -5th grade to join our magic show.

*One Parent per family is required to serve for one session in the Children’s program.

Next Step Ministry

During the convention the Next Step Ministry will have informative workshops, labs hosted by mission organizations and one-on-one counseling. We are here to walk with you as you consider how God is calling you to fulfill the Great Commission.

Mission Expo

Approximately 40 mission organizations, training institutions and equipping ministries will join with us at CMC. This is a valuable opportunity to meet with them and hear directly what the Lord is doing around the globe to draw people to himself. Do not miss this chance to connect with mission practitioners and explore the many practical ways to partner with these experienced organizations in taking the Gospel to the world.

If you are interesting in being a part of the Mission Expo please download our Exhibitor Guidelines. Then, to proceed with the registration process, please contact our Exhibit Coordinator Mr. Hon-Man Lee with your organization name and website.

Additionally, there are sponsorship opportunities for CMC South; details can be found here.

Volunteering

There is no shortage of opportunities to serve at CMC South! In fact, volunteers are an essential part of our program and making things run smoothly. For an event this size we will need ~400 volunteers in a variety of service areas.

Logistics: We need people to work 3-4 hour shifts in a variety of logistical areas. Things like helping at check-in, unloading trucks, ushering, workshop hosts, speaker hospitality and many more. For more information on how you or your church can sign-up to help please contact Bro Alvin Chao HERE or Bro Peter Yau HERE.

If you desire to sign up as an individual volunteer please fill out this survey.
